St. Lawrence School is a Catholic, coeducational, elementary school for children in grades Kindergarten through Eight. The school was originally established in 1957, and joyfully celebrated its 50th anniversary three years ago. It is located close to Aventura, FL near the northeast corner of Greynolds Park, one mile west of Biscayne Bay and one mile south of the Miami Dade/Broward county lines. Our school is a "living United Nations" model, serving multi-ethnic communities with diverse economic backgrounds |

The school was reaccredited and honored in 2009 by the Florida Catholic Conference. We proudly display our re-accreditation certificate in the school office, and continue to provide academic excellence in a caring, family atmosphere. We seek to continually improve our school through our School Improvement Plan (SIP) work conducted through monthly faculty, and Parent Executive Committee, meetings. Our School Advisory Council meets twice a year. |

The ethnic composition is diverse: 45% Black (many from Caribbean Islands), 40% Hispanic, 9% Anglo, 4% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 2% Multi-racial / Native American. Approximately 90% of the children are Catholic. 10% of the children are comprised of different faiths. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, or gender. |

The school has one class of each grade level. The teacher : student ratio (1:11) is kept much lower than the accreditation standard (1:35) to maximize learning. The instructional staff consists of one principal, eleven full-time teachers, one full-time instructional aide, and a part-time counselor. |
